I love Children's literature so much! I really enjoyed the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series, Harry Potter Series and Goose Girl and Etta Burning. For little ones I love all Dr. Seuss books, Llama Llama Red Pajama, the Pigeon Books, Shel Silverstein poetry, I could go on and on!

The Secret Garden was one of the first "chapter" books I read as a child. It was a copy from my mother's childhood library with lovely illustrations. Yes, so many favorites....

We have so many favorites, how do we choose? Tops on the list is the entire Little House series. The girls are enjoying The Secret Garden right now. Almost all the American Girl Historical series are favorites too! I try to pick books that are historically factual and/or feed the spirit. "Living books". :) I agree with Mary above - The Boxcar Children series are also good! See? So many favorites.... :)

My all time favorite is "The Boxcar Children"...book #1. For years I read this to my 5th grade students. Once the book ended they could not wait to get to the library and read more of the series. Not only did they listen but were eager to read more!

My son Gavin loves "Magic Tree House" books by Mary Pope Osborne. We read them every night! My daughter Morgan adores anything "Fancy Nancy" by Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser.

Thank you, Dobie, for those kind words about my books! I have not read "The Forgotten Door", but I am always looking for great books to share with kids when I do reading weeks at schools and libraries, so... I will be ordering it.

Blessings to you and yours! Sue

My favorite children's book is Alexander Key's "The Forgotten Door". I don't know how many times I've read it. My kids have read it. My Grandson is reading it now. I think it's out of print but I bought a copy from Amazon.com.
I see that you were given "The Help" for Christmas. I received it as well. I really liked it a lot.
I have read all of your books. I have signed copies of the Ivory Carver series. I wish I could unread Mother Earth Father Sky and read it all over again for the first time.
Anyhow, thanks for listening. You're Fabulous!
