October ’12 Free Book!

We have a very special book for our October 2012 give-away – Ann H. Gabhart’s new novel, THE GIFTED!

The Gifted

Our give-away edition is a new trade paperback, but the best part is that it is signed by Ann and includes a bookmark as well.ย  From the back cover:

“Jessamine Brady has been in the Shaker Village for half her young life, but in spite of how she loves her sisters there, she struggles to conform to the strict rules. Instead she entertains dreams of the world outside. When Tristan Cooper seems to step out of those dreams to entice her into the forbidden realm beyond the Shaker Village, her life turns upside down.”

To qualify for the drawing (Thursday, October 25) to win Ann’s novel, just answer this question:

Do you have a tendency to follow the rules, or are you more of a maverick?

  1. Thank you, Betty, I’m so glad you are enjoying my books! Ann’s books are winners. She is a “new author” for me (where have I been living anyway?) and I love “discovering” an author whose books I love!

  2. I thought I’d commented on this, but maybe not. Maybe I couldn’t decide how to answer the question because I’m such a fence-sitter! I follow rules in almost every instance, but I’m still maverick enough to always question “why” first. If I don’t like the answer, I’m more apt to try and change the rules than disobey them. Fortunately, I don’t consider fashion trends to be rules; I wear what I think suits me and is comfortable. And I’m with Ann when it comes to no heels and little makeup! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. It was fun reading all of your rule or non-rule following habits. I think most of us are rule followers because we can see what havoc would result if everybody started making up their own rules. At the same time, if it’s a rule that is against your beliefs, that’s a different matter from a rule about stopping at stop signs. That’s a rule with a reason, but I see people ignoring it often enough.

Thanks to all of you who responded to Sue’s question and a big congrats to Sharma who won the book. Thanks to you too, Sue, for inviting me to drop by. I’m like some of these other commenters. I love your books!
