Quiet Start

When I decided to dedicate my Monday posts to the subject of writing, I realized that I needed to narrow down my field a little.  After a couple of weeks of cogitation, I hit upon the idea of walking readers through the process of writing a novel, from the very, very first baby steps right to the finished product.

I think from time to time that many folks play with the idea of writing a novel, but don’t want to invest a lot of time or money in a traditional writing class or even in attending writers’ conferences.  Not at least until they know whether or not this new venture will be something beloved or not so much.

When it comes to developing new skills, hobbies or interests, I usually opt for a quiet easy start.  So that’s what we’re going to do.  Each Monday we’re going to take one step in the process of writing a novel.

You might decide come along as a writer or as a reader.  Either way, you’re more than welcome.  So, beginning this Monday, October 11, we’re going to step-by-step write that novel.   I’m not saying it will be easy.  It won’t.  But I’ll be ready to answer your questions and hear how you’re doing.  I’ll be your biggest cheerleader.
