Chocolate!
I was watching our local television news this morning when a cute young thing read a very interesting report. Evidently, according to the latest medical research, women who eat a serving of chocolate each week have a significantly lower risk of heart problems. Honest, that’s what the report said.
About lunch time, I realized that I hadn’t had my serving of chocolate this week. The next thing I knew a package of chocolate chips was right there in my hand. How convenient! Now the medical report didn’t say how much chocolate a serving entailed, so I decided to start with a handful. After all, didn’t our forefathers live on handfuls of food prior to the invention of silverware? And isn’t the human heart just about the size of a human fist? To be safe I ate second handful.
Thank goodness my husband wasn’t home for lunch today. You don’t eat handfuls of chocolate chips in front of husbands. My dog wanted his own heart-healthy serving, but as I always tell him, “Chocolate is doggy poison.” Luckily for women everywhere, chocolate is a vitamin.
Q4U: Any diet tips for the holidays?
Blessings! Sue
You’re very persuasive, Lynn!
yeah, Sue……glad to see you are coming around to my way of thinking 🙂
You’re right! Holidays definitely deserve to be diet-free!
Haha Sue……..snagged – lol. That’s what happens when your husband can see your blog 🙂
I have ALWAYS liked dark chocolate better than milk chocolate – who knew I was just eating healthy!!!
I don’t think “diet” and “holidays” belong in the same sentence…………but you’re the writer, so who am I to say……….
You’re kidding? My wife? Chocolate?
