Nov. 2011 Free Book!
ALMOST HEAVEN by Chris Fabry is about as close to heaven as you can get with a book. I absolutely loved this story, the characters and the author’s skill in word use. Not only is ALMOST HEAVEN a Christy Award Winner, it’s also a Christian Book Award winner.
From the back cover: “Some people say Billy Allman has a heart of gold. Others say he’s a bit odd. The truth is, they’re all right. He’s a hillbilly genius — a collector, a radio whiz — and he can make the mandolin sing. Malachi is an angel sent to observe and protect Billy. And as Billy’s story unfolds, Malachi slowly begins to see that each step Billy takes is a note added to a beautiful song that will forever change the lives of those who hear it.”
This novel is about much more than music, but since the main character is a musical genius, to qualify for the drawing this month (The drawing will take place on November 30.) please tell us…
What’s your favorite (or one of your favorite) song(s)?
Blessings!
Sue

Bridge Over Troubled Waters
You don’t speak Italian YET! WooHoo, love that positive attitude, Sarah!
One of the nurses sang to my mother-in-law the last night of her life, too, Ginny. God sends us angels when we need them most.
Welcome to my Blog, Pat. Thank you for your kind words about my novels! Please tell Justine I said “Hi”.
I don’t really have a favorite song, but I do have a favorite artist. Josh Groban’s voice is so fantastic and so soothing. Even when he sings in Italian (I can’t speak it yet), the feeling comes through loud and clear!
Amazing Grace.
I am a friend of Justine’s from NC. Just read your four books. I loved all of them.
My favorite song is “The Cherry Tree Carol” by Peter, Paul and Mary.
Favorite song has to be Amazing Grace. I am simply transported when I hear it…and was sung to my mom by a caring nurse as she lay dying. I am no singer, but my heart sings when I hear that hymn.
Suddenly by Angry Anderson. Gives me chills every time even after all these years.
My favorite song is Daddy’s Hands. It reminds me of my Dad so much.I usually get teary eyed when I hear it but it sure brings back memories.
My favorite all time song has been and always will be O HOLY NIGHT. I can’t explain it. When I hear it today, it brings back wonderful childhood memories and just warms my heart!!!! I love that song no matter who sings it 🙂
My favorite hymn is Amazing Grace. My favorite pop tune is Georgia by Ray Charles.
My oldest favorite is a PP&M song, The Cherry Carol http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lyricsmode.com%2F&h=5AQGJHuvN
Amazing Grace
I love to sing along with the radio, too, Nicole, but only if I’m alone in the car. Although if my husband is singing along, I’ll join in. Poor guy!
I wish I could sing like that as well. Instead I just turn the radio up really loud and pretend that I can 🙂
I love Martina McBride! Independence Day – wow. Wish I could sing like that!
I’m glad you like the photos. I’ve been trying to learn how to put them on my website for months, but am still having trouble. I am so NOT a techie!
I have a lot of favorite songs, but at the moment I’m really enjoying Martina McBride’s new album Eleven. Two songs in particular that I love from that album are I’m Gonna Love You Through It and Long Distance Lullaby.
P.S. I love the pictures with the posts!
