About Vegetables
The men in my life don’t like vegetables. I do my best to get a green salad on the table at supper each night, but other than that – except for corn or peas – I have little success.
My father-in-law once took me aside and gently said, “You don’t have to work so hard at fixing us dinner. We don’t need that green stuff. Just meat and potatoes and bread and dessert is enough.” Well, not really, but I try not to get too exotic, and that’s difficult for someone like me who would almost be content to be a vegetarian.
How about you? Are you a carnivore or are you content with veggies?
Blessings!

That’s a very good point, Angie. Corn and peas are more filling like potatoes. I hadn’t thought of that before.
I believe that men only respond to veggies like corn or peas because they’re carb based and filling like potatoes and bread. I, personally, could live on pasta and veggies. I don’t think there’s a veggie I don’t love, however; I will not prepare two separate meals to please my man. I am not a short-order cook. Perhaps that’s why I don’t currently have a man? 😉
When I had a garden, I used to try to grow some new and unusual veggie each year, Nicole. I still didn’t have any luck getting my family to eat them, but we all liked to watch them grow!
I’m definitely omnivorous, but I do love vegetables. I have been trying to incorporate a wider variety of veggies in my diet, and having a garden forces me to be creative. Luckily my guys will eat (almost) whatever is put in front of them!
