Books I Love/THE READING PROMISE
For Christmas my daughter-in-law gave me a book entitled THE READING PROMISE. By the end of the first chapter, I knew I’d enjoy the read. By the end of the book, I knew THE READING PROMISE had risen into that rare category of “Books I Love.”
THE READING PROMISE is a memoir written by Alice Ozma (age twenty-something) about the promise that she and her dad made to each other when Alice was in fourth grade. The promise? That they would read together for 100 consecutive nights. Her memoir is the story of that promise as it stretched from 100 to more than 3,000 nights. THE READING PROMISE is funny, poignant, heartfelt and full of wisdom about families, love, books and reading.
I predict you’ll love this book, too.
Blessings!

And I’m so glad that you read to your children, Tonya!!
As the “giver” of this book to my mom, I can say this book is outstanding, and I am so happy my gift was a sucess. A teacher, who loves books, lent me the book and I fell in love with the it. The story makes you want to read more to your own children and write down the titles read in the book. Anyone who loves reading, needs to find this book, read it, and share it with others!
This sounds like a sweet story. I’ll look for it! Thanks for sharing.
