Puppy Love/ Chihuahua!
The very smallest breed of dog in the whole world of dogdom is the chihuahua. Named for a state in Mexico, the approximate date of their origin is so ancient that no one is absolutely sure what group of people should lay claim to the breed. From Wikipeidia, “In fact, wheeled dog toys representing both the “deer head” and “apple head” varieties of Chihuahua have been unearthed across Mesoamerica from Mexico to El Salvador. The earliest of these were found at Tres Zapotes in Veracruz, Mexico, which date to 100 A.D. ”
We have friends who love to ride their motorcycle all over the United States. Their tiny Chihuahua happily goes with them in a sidecar! Chihuahuas are feisty little dogs, fiercely loyal to their owners. Color and markings vary widely. Chihuahuas have been known to live up to 18 years.
