Clumber Spaniel

The Clumber Spaniel is a relatively new breed, developed in the 1800s in England and France. Experts believe that the Clumber resulted from a mix of early spaniel types and the Basset Hound. It’s a strong, slow-moving breed with an excellent sense of smell. The adult Clumber usually weighs in at 55-85 pounds. They are very possessive of toys and food dishes, so owners must handle the dog’s belongings daily to help the dog understand who’s in charge.

Have you ever met a Clumber Spaniel?

I hope you enjoy the puppy photos below!

Blessings!
