Linda, I remember that party, but I didn’t know that had happened to you! Praise God for Cathy!
Sue: I was at your parent’s cabin at beach in St.Ignace with Sunday school swimming party. I remember you were there too. I was playing in the water with several others who were making lots of noise, when I accidentally stepped back into deep water. I could not swim. I remember the water going over my head and looking at Cathy as I bobbed back up and said help as I went under again, and how I felt so terrified. If it had not been for Cathy Huyck standing near me, who pulled me over to safety in the midst of all the group, I would have drowned that day. I don’t think the other kids even noticed, they were busy having fun. But I will never forget it. God spared my life.
I’m amazed at how many women and babies are in peril during delivery. So glad that you and your son made it, Amy.
What a terrifying situation, Allen. I can understand why it would haunt you. Hang on tight during those memory-times. God is hanging onto you.
Wow, Vicky, that’s more than your share of frightening and difficult times. Glad you are still with us, Dear.
So true, Denise!

Oh Sue!! We are lucky to have you! I bet your jr high gym teacher was scared to death, too.
Nearly broke my neck in a bike accident when I was around 10. Fell 20 feet from the rings while upside down in junior high gym class. Ahh, youth.
No, thankfully I haven’t been in that situation.
Yes I sure have, was given too much anesthesia for a surgery and they couldn’t wake me up. I was airlifted to Sioux Falls and woke up in one of those pod beds.
Yes, after the birth of a second child and experienced severe bleeding after I was taken to a room.
