May 2020 Free Book!
Many of us are still in a Stay-At-Home situation. It’s a great time for hobbies! Maybe cooking is one of your favorite pass-times, and most of us consider eating to be a favorite pass-time as well.
I thought it would be fun to give away a cookbook of traditional USA Southern recipes . My dad’s family is from the South, and I love many of the favorites often prepared by my grandmother, aunts, and cousins. Recipes in this book include:Fried Green Tomatoes, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Fried Okra, Hush Puppies, Southern Coconut Cake, Sweet Tea Chess Pie, and many others! Our give-away copy is a new hardcover edition.
To have your name included in our Wednesday, May 13 drawing, just answer this question: What kinds of cooking traditions did you grow up with?
Happy Cooking!

Judy, Food from scratch, and better yet, homegrown is the best!!
Susan, I love Polish food. My maternal grandmother was German, and so many of our dishes were similar to Polish. We did have quite a few meals with saurkraut. Yum!
Our family being Polish, I grew up watching my mom make stuffed cabbage and pierogi, kielbasa and saurkraut. Her meatballs and mushroom gravy were the best. Everything she made and taught me, she did with so much love and like my grandma used to do it.
It was food cooked from scratch. I was raised on a farm and most of the food was home grown and raised at home
