May 2023 FREE BOOK!

Once upon a time a long time ago, I wrote for a wonderful website called Her View From Home. At that time, I was in my first decade of parent care (with another decade yet to go). My writing time had dwindled to merely an hour or two a week, and I despaired of ever finishing another novel worth publication. Those difficult days brightened each time Her View From Home published one of my articles, and, more importantly, when I read articles by other women who were also balancing demanding personal lives with their professional lives. I was able to believe (at least most days) that I truly was a “real writer” blessed with the faith, strength, and energy I needed to get through what would prove to be the most difficult period of my life. I am forever grateful.

Now from Leslie Means, the founder and genius behind Her View From Home, comes a beautiful book that is topping all the bestseller lists, SO GOD MADE A MOTHER, a series of real life stories from real moms. In celebration of Mother’s Day, I am more than excited to give away a new hardcover edition on my blog!

From the back cover, “No two mothers are alike. No two experiences in motherhood mirror each other. But something powerful happens when our stories come together: they speak love, worth, value, and beauty. They highlight tenderness, sorrow, joy, and faith. They take the undefinable experience of motherhood and give it shape and substance and strength. They speak to us all.”

To have your name included in our Wednesday, May 10 drawing, just answer this question: What is the most precious lesson your mother (or any mother) taught you?”

For me, that lesson is — growth in faith takes patient persistence.

Happy Reading!
