AUGUST 2024 FREE BOOKS!
This month we are celebrating Michigan author Sharon M. Kennedy! Raised on a farm in the Brimley, Michigan, area, Sharon has penned three books that follow a group of children raised during the 1950s and early 1960s on Chippewa County farms. The final book of the trilogy revisits the children during their adult years. We also include her book, THE SIDE ROAD COLUMNIST, a selection of Sharon’s newspaper columns written for Gannett Media. In each of these four books, Sharon draws from her personal experiences to celebrate life as lived on farms and small towns in the northern Mid-west. Her topics include a great variety of subjects from the humorous like seed spitting, to the poignant, a beloved grandfather clock, to the heart-breaking like the Vietnam War. In each book, Sharon’s prose sings and her wisdom shines through.
Our four books are new trade paperback editions. All three of the trilogy books are autographed by the author. To have your name included in our Wednesday August 14 drawing, just answer this question.
Were you raised on a farm? If not, did your grandparents own a farm?
Happy Reading!

No but always wondered how it might be!
No.
No. I like the idea but I am allergic to so many things that it would never work🙁
I did love to go to my grandparents’ farm. Grandpa was a gentle and kind man. He always took us for rides on the tractor and let us “help” him milk the cow. (They had only one milk cow). To this day I love the smell of fresh sweet hay and straw in a barn!!
No, but that would have been fun!
