Small Joys – Color
I recently watched a video of color blind people who put on a pair of special glasses that allowed them to see the world around them in color for the first time. Their reactions of joy at the beauty they were seeing deeply touched my heart. Today, the joy I’m celebrating is COLOR! And by…

Wild Word Friday! My father is an avid golfer. At age 84 he can still come close to shooting his age – last week scoring an 85 on 18 holes. I’m proud of him, and I know one of the disappointments of his life is that I am NOT a golfer or an athlete by…

Wild Word Friday! When I was almost eight years old, my family and I were visiting my maternal grandfather. My brother Bob and I called him Granddaddy. Sue what a lovely way to start the week with beautiful colours of the sky? Is that early morning or night when Neil took the pic & is it near where you live? Just curious what is the population in your area.
Thank you, Trish. Neil’s photos are almost always sunset pictures, and yes, it’s taken right in front of our house, which is on a small lake. We live in a sparsely populated area of the US, the eastern tip of the Upper Peninsula of the state of Michigan. In a 100 mile by 100 mile by 100 mile triangle we have about 20,000 people, most of them in the city of Sault Ste. Marie. Our little town has 600 people and we live 12 miles from town.
