Lovely photo! Gracie looks every bit the special dog she is.
We’ve had a multitude of dogs in the past, many of which remain in my memory as unique and special. I guess that’s inevitable, since I’ve bred, raised, trained and exhibited Shelties and Labs for over 35 years. I blogged about one particular Lab a couple years ago (http://wp.me/phaYw-zl).
Carol, I have those same pictures of Gracie. I kept my newborn granddaughter (gramma daycare). She would not leave her side and still doesn’t when she comes to visit. Gracie is our third golden. Our first, Buddy, was the same way with kids. We love the breed. Our first 2 dogs, Wendy and Sheldon,were shetland sheepdogs. I had to be talked into a golden retriever but I would have no other breed now.
Kandy and Carol, there are just some dogs that absolutely take your heart. Ours was Jack, a springer spaniel. He was one big dumb (and yes he was dumb but so sweet) bundle of love.
