A Glance Back – Flat Stanley!
About six weeks ago a house guest came to live with us via the auspices of a young man very close to our hearts (grandson close). Right away, we struck up a great friendship with FLAT STANLEY, and he’s been a part of our days ever since. We didn’t travel much, but Stanley found lots to do.
I’ll let Flat Stanley tell you a bit about his many activities:
Hi! Flat Stanley here. My trip this year was to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I lived with Neil and Sue, and we had lots of fun. This was one of my favorite activities – eating Mackinac Island Fudge. YUM!
We had so much snow that we had to bundle up warm to go outside and play!
I helped Neil play his banjo. I even taught him a few new songs!
I did my exercises to stay fit and FLAT!
Sue and I took a journey to ancient Europe so she could learn what she needs to know to write another book. Good thing I was there. I helped her read German. She’s not very good at that!
Thank you, Stanley. We’re delighted you had a good time at our house. We’ll sure miss you when you go home. We hope you’ll come back some day for another visit!
Have you ever had Flat Stanley visit your house?
Blessings!
Sue
We didn’t get to do as much with Stanley as we’d hoped, Karen, but he was a good sport and didn’t complain!
Thanks for sharing your flat Stanley adventure. Personally loved the exercise ball!
