Eastern European Research Trip – Chef’s Farewell Dinner
Our bags are packed for an early departure in the morning from the Viking River Ship Jarl.
To ease the sadness of good-byes, our last dinner on board is an adventure in itself, and especially delights the palate. (Or like we would say at home, Wow that’s good!) Here’s the menu:
For my appetizer, I choose the crisp Tandoori chicken:
Then our waiter brings a roasted forest mushroom velouté. I’m not sure what a velouté is, but I know this. It’s delicious!
Third course, pumpkin mousse ravioli with lamb…
For my main dish, I choose the beef tenderloin with potato gratin. Yum!
Dessert is a delightful mascarpone and sour cherry cake with just the right touch of chocolate!
Of the whole meal, I think my favorites are the ravioli and the dessert. Are there some courses you’d love to try? Are there some that just don’t appeal to you?
Tomorrow, after disembarkation, we enjoy one last day of exploration. This time in Romania! I hope you’ll join us!
Happy Traveling,
Sue
We do, too, Wayne!!
We have so enjoyed reliving the cruise through your posts. We want to do it again!
