May 2015 FREE BOOK!!
I’m excited to give away a trade paperback copy of Lori Benton’s newest novel, THE WOOD’S EDGE! Lori is a gifted writer, and this beautiful romantic historical is further proof of her ability to bring her characters to life in a well-researched, well-presented colonial American setting.
From the back cover: “On the day Fort William Henry falls, Major Reginald Aubrey is beside himself with grief. His son, born that day, has died in the arms of his sleeping wife. When Reginald comes across an Oneida mother with newborn twins, one white and one brown, he makes a choice that will haunt the lives of all involved…”
To have your name entered in the Wednesday, May 13 drawing just answer this question: In Lori’s novel, Major Reginald Aubrey is an impulsive decision-maker. When you face important decisions, do you carefully consider possible outcomes or do you tend to be impulsive?
(I have to admit, I’m impulsive! I sure get myself into hot water sometimes!)
Blessings!
Sue
I tend to think them through but, sometimes I am a bit to impulsive.
I tend to be more cautious in all of my decisions and tend to weigh all possible outcomes. My hubby would probably be thrilled if I was a little more impulsive in decisions. Lol
Thanks for the giveaway!
Our major decisions are usually backed by a lot of prayer and careful consideration from all angles.
I’m a planner and tend to think through all possible scenarios before making a decision.
Totally weigh all sides before making a decision. That’s why it takes me so long to grocery shop. ( My impulsive husband just can’t understand!!!)
When I have to make major decisions, I pray about it and usually ask others for advice. I even worry about it sometimes, though I try not to!
Rarely do I ever make impulsive decisions. If anything, I analyze the decision “to death.” That can be as bad as being impulsive…just on the other end of the spectrum.
I’m a bit of both… it all depends on my mood… I either over think it or just go for it… however I think I am more of a go for it person… Has landed me in some interesting situations lol… I cannot wait to read this book!!! I LOVE Lori’s books!!!
When I have a big decision to make, I like to think about it for a while. Otherwise, I’m pretty impulsive.
I usually try to think things through but depending on the situation can be impulsive.
I tend to think through all possible outcomes! Then I have to just force myself to make a decision.
I tend to overthink :-/ Sometimes a little impulsiveness isn’t the worst thing in the world…
I pray before making decisions.
It depends on the situation, but I tend to over consider possible outcomes. So now I’ve been working on making faster decisions – which makes me do the extreme opposite of over analyzing. 😉 haha thanks for the opportunity!
Very impulsive, don’t always think things through, and rush to judgement.
Often gets me into trouble, one way or another!
I tend to go with my gut feeling. When I try to carefully weigh the possibilities I tend to waffle on making a decision. Not good in many situations. Better to face the situation head on and have a strong shield for the fallout.
OH SO impulsive. When I raised birds I had 17. When I had tropical fish it was a 50 gallon tank. Painting, writing and reading, nature and animals and I cant resist. Its caused me much grief but more I’ve had so many things to experience in my long life I cant imagine restraining myself haha. Still might have a very different life had I stopped to ponder and consider. If it doesn’t hurt anyone else live life fully but not foolishly.
I am not impulsive; in fact, I think about things far too long! But sometimes that’s a good thing because you may decide it wasn’t so important after all.
I research and plan everything, do you want my analysis on which printer to buy? I am also easily persuaded by impulsive people so please invite me to something…anything.
i am impulsive!
I don’t plan ahead but I am not jumping in to ‘things’. I waited 40 year before I walked away from a bad marriage. Although I am very precise in my job as a bookkeeper I am not that at all at home. I have a kind of puberal behavior since I am on my own.
I have learned to do this–pray!
I tend to spend a bit of time thinking about a decision before making it. I like to try and gage what the outcome will be before I make a choice. And I definitely like to plan ahead and know what is going on.
I plan ahead. Sometimes wait too long to take action.
I am more of a thinker, trying to consider the options before making important decisions!
I am usually impulsive if it’s just about me but if the situation involves my kids then I’m more responsible
I’m a careful consider-er, but I also have learned to trust my gut, so I guess that part of my considerations can grab me on impulse. Clear as mud?
I tend to think decisions through especially big ones, I’ve learned the hard way on making decisions by impulsive, I still do at times but I try to research whatever we are looking to do or buy. I like to plan but my husband like to be spontaneous and I’m learning to be more like that in some areas although it is difficult for me.
I tend to be impulsive. I know what needs to be done and want to get it done ASAP. Being patient is a bit difficult.
I am a careful planner but sometimes circumstances out of my control still get in the way of my carefully laid plans & I remember that ultimately God is in control – not me!!
If we are talking about important decisions in life, thinking them through is definitely my best option. I tend to be almost annoyingly careful ( some might think of me) and I do “test” the water not once or twice, but ten times before taking the dive! lol I couldn’t imagine getting married, for example, on the spur of the moment, haha. But seriously, the truth is that I’m anxious of what the future could bring sometimes and it’s quite a challenge to leave it all into God’s hands. Fretting about things is still my #1 flaw.
Since I am a worrier in that sense ( when I should be more of a warrior), well, yes, I think things through long and hard.:)
sometimes impulsive but usually thoughtful and planning.
I am extremely impulsive. Emotions trump common sense ten to one. But I’m also an avid thinker so usually I consider things pretty carefully.
I tend to be impulsive… especially in buying things… sometimes that is good and sometimes I later regret it.
I tend to be pretty cautious. But then, sometimes I’m too hesitant, and that gets me in trouble. (o:
