May 2019 FREE BOOK!
I hope the winner of this book loves it as much as I did! What a great read. WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING by Delia Owens is amazing! From the flap copy: “For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl….WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING is at once an exquisite ode to the natural world, a heartbreaking coming-of-age novel, and a surprising tale of possible murder.” Our give away copy is a hardcover. This novel was a choice of Reese’s (Witherspoon) Book Club and a #1 New York Times Bestseller.
To have your name included in the Wednesday, May 15 drawing, just answer this question. Have you ever spent time exploring a marsh?
No have not . I must read this book.
It is fabulous, Justine, and right in your neck of the woods!!
Yes…itโs day light in the swamp ๐
Yes, a swamp in Florida. Very scary, snakes and other creepy dangerous things.
In the low country of South Carolina. Absolutely love it!
Yes I have. I grew up on a farm and
we had beautiful cowslips along the marshy edge. This was in Michigan.
That would be scary, Diane!!
We haven’t seen the cowslips blossom yet, Nancy, but they will be out soon. THey’re so cheerful! (I live on the edge of a swamp in Michigan!)
This book is all about that part of our country, Bill. I bet it’s beautiful!
We say that almost every morning, Brooke!! Ha!
Yes, I have spent time near a swamp: camping, four wheeling and hiking. Our backyard looks like a swamp right now.
yes i did live near a marsh area. our window looked onto beautiful fen marshes. there was a swan that often could be seen right in front of our window. it wasn’t an easy time but it was lovely to have that view.
I love swamps. One of my favorites is in SC. at the Magnolia Plantation. I love taking photos of the alligators, birds and turtles. One of my favorite books is set in a swamp in the UP. The Marsh Kings Daughter.
THE MARSH KING’S DAUGHTER is definitely on my to-read list, Rebecca!!
Sue, I received the book today. Thank you so very much. I know that I will enjoy every word.
