  1. My favorite tradition is watching The Homecoming a Waltons Christmas Story. I used to watch it with my dad until he moved now I watch it with my boys

  2. Our tradition is to choose a different country or region each year, research the music, food, decorations, and other traditions and then incorporate them into our celebration of the season. This year? Iceland-Cajun fusion!

  3. Unfortunately, this was a tradition growing up for me but when my Grandma passed away, we don’t do it anymore. My Grandparents would have a family Christmas Eve party (my parents took it over at some point). So early on Christmas Eve morning, my Dad would drop me off at my Grandma’s and I would spend all day with her. We would make all sorts of goodies for the party… several different cereal treats, cookies, fudges… we also would make Hors d’oeuvres too like ham and green onion roll ups with cream cheese in them and bacon wrapped around sausage with BBQ sauce over them. Wow… my mouth is watering as I am writing this!! LOL Then if we got done early, we would play cards and relax before the party started. Ohh how I miss my Grandma!

  4. My favorite tradition was passed down from my great grandmother. We make a dish called noodles and nuts. Hot buttered egg noodles topped with ground walnuts. Delicious and it brings back wonderful memories of childhood Christmas and the bond I had with her.

  5. What a fantastic idea, Jackie! It makes learning about others a celebration! Have fun “in” Iceland this year and with that Cajun fusion!

  6. My favorite part of Christmas is going with my son and his family Christmas tree buying, picking the tree, tying the tree to the roof of the car the off to the Chinese restaurant.
