Small Joys – The Catch!
I’ve decided to start a blog series–Small Joys–dedicated to seeing life through optimistic eyes. My husband demonstrated his ability to see the good in a tough situation when he came home from an afternoon fishing trip with a hook embedded in his finger. (Yep, a trip to the ER.)
His comment? “At least I caught something!”
Think joy!

It makes me hurt, too, Linda!! Ginny, thank you for those encouraging words. I’m looking forward to sharing. Optimists should run the world!
Thanks for starting this. Look forward to how God is going to use it. That picture makes me hurt.
>my grandmother always said out of some bad situation..something good will happen…I always believe that…glad Neil caught some fish
Sue, we can all use a little more joy in our lives! Looking forward to your sharing more with us.
Oh yikes – my hubby has done that too – except it was in the fleshy part of his thumb and went all the way through. They numbed the area, but the barb off and pulled it out. Quick recovery for him and hopefully for your husband too.
Wow, you are an optimist, Krystal!!! Glad you keep fishing!
Oh and to add to the optimistic side, I kept fishing😎
Ouch!
I have not done that yet, but did fall in my boat while catching a walleye and broke 3 ribs. This was about 5 summers ago.
