Small Joys – Shortcuts
My sister teases my dad by saying, “A shortcut is the first step in a journey of a thousand miles.” You might guess–correctly–that most of Dad’s shortcuts were anything but short! However, some shortcuts do save us time, and I thought I’d share one of mine with you.
If your family likes potato salad as much as mine, you’ll find yourself immersed too often in the boring process of cutting up boiled potatoes with a knife. One day when I was particularly impatient, I had a brainstorm. Why not use a pastry cutter? It works! You can process a big bowl of potatoes in about 2 minutes flat!
