December 2021 FREE BOOKS!!

Hooray, to celebrate December and all it means to so many of us, we are giving away two books this month.

The first, SIDE ROAD KIDS, TALES FROM CHIPPEWA COUNTY, was written by a friend of mine, Sharon M. Kennedy. I am very delighted to offer this book to all of you. I’ve only begun reading it, because it just came out, but already I’m entranced. From the back cover, “THE SIDEROAD KIDS follows a group of boys and girls as they enter the sixth grade in a small town in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula during 1957-58. This..collection of . . . short stories is often humorous, poignant, and sometimes mysterious.” I bought one for myself, but also bought several for middle readers on my Christmas list. Well, guess what? I know they will enjoy it, but so will any adult who ventures into this bygone world so beautifully captured by Sharon’s gifted pen!!

The second book we are giving away is MARY’S SONG by Dixie Distler. The book is a sequel to the Christmas classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens.
