BLIZZARD
Wild Word Friday! Here in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, we are very aware of the difference between a snow storm and a BLIZZARD. You can drive in a snow storm. It’s not fun, and it is dangerous, but you can. In a snow storm, you can walk to your neighbor’s house. In a BLIZZARD you shouldn’t…
COWSLIP
Wild Word Friday! In the spring, if you drive out into the country, you may see them in the ditches and the fields. hi Sue,
Today, the last day of the year, we received post, my little 7-year old daughter took the letter out of the mail box and said; it is a letter with a lot of funny looking stamps on it, she read them all ( yes! she can read now 🙂 ), and saw the letter came ALL the way from the U S A!… she said; it is for you mammy……
We both opened the letter, saw the beautiful card and together read what was written inside, she looked at me with her big innocent eyes and said; that is very nice mammy to have a friend in America.
I felt quite emotional and grateful to know you Sue. Thank you very much.
love,
Jackie and family
What a beautiful story about you and your daughter, Jackie. I’m the one who is emotional and honored to be considered a friend by you. Your description of your daughter and her reaction just takes my heart! Thank you, Jackie.
