Thank you so very much Sue. I’m glad I could lift your spirits for a brief moment.
Oh Jackie, what a beautiful and uplifting thing to share with me. Thank you so much. You are a very special friend, and I think we have a good link, heart to heart, that extends across oceans and languages. I’m so proud of all you do.
o wow! that is very cold.
I send you love today Sue, I know you are sad.
I want to tell you something.
When I first had contact with you I was always nervous to write back because of my grammar and spelling mistakes so I kept my questions/answers as short as I could or I would find a way to use different words but meaning the same thing. It was frustrating.
At one stage I thought: I really should feel more confident about it all since I now live in an English speaking country and don’t have plans to move back to Holland.
So I read more in English, books newspapers etc. , I started to write more and more on social media etc. and am not afraid anymore to make little mistakes.
Sue… you were the catalyst for me to feel more confident in my day to day English problems and I am grateful and thankful.
You have no idea what a freedom it has given me! so much so that I now work side by side with my husband, we have set up a Web and Graphic design studio ! I have to write, read and chat in English ALL the time. I would not be able to that a few years ago.
Blessings,
Jackie
We’ve had a couple of warmer days, Jackie, with temperatures near zero degrees C. but last week and next week we were/will be cold again with high temperatures for the day at -12 C. and nights at -23 C. Brrrrrr!!!!!
That looks crisp, serene, beautiful but mostly : VERY cold… what temperatures are you experiencing at the moment Sue?
