Notes from the North

Dusk is falling, and soon my husband will drive home on his snowmobile from an evening of ice fishing.  I look out at the bay in front of our house and watch the sparkle of lights from ice shanties.  The sun has set, but night has not yet claimed the sky.  The tops of spruce trees are lace set against a backdrop of maroon.

I anticipate an evening reading an incredible book, THE FALL OF GIANTS by one of my favorite authors, Ken Follett.

I love this time of day.

What’s your favorite time of the day?

Blessings!  Sue

  1. During the work week my favorite time of day is when I get home and my dog, Winston, starts to beg for my attention until I have to reach down pick him up and talk to him like a baby to let him know that I missed him too. My husband is usually there to greet me and ask me how my day went. All of a sudden I get this sudden burst of energy and I am glad to be home.
