January 2012 Free Book!

It’s been a while since THE NOTEBOOK by Nicholas Sparks was published (1996). The movie version came out in 2004. But this is a new year and I’m feeling a little nostalgic, so I thought that we’d give away an “old” book. By now, maybe you’ve misplaced your copy of THE NOTEBOOK or never quite got around to reading it. If so, take advantage of our January 2012 Free Book!

Our give-away copy is a new trade paperback. A blurb from the cover copy reads, “THE NOTEBOOK is a celebration of how passion can be ageless and timeless, a tale that moves us to laughter and tears and makes us believe in true love all over again…”

To qualify for our January 31 drawing for the THE NOTEBOOK tell us, What do you usually prefer? Reading the book or seeing the movie version?

Blessings,

Sue

  1. The book. Always the book. The book always has it better. Except in my case Lotr. 5pages on someone’s hair did me in.

  2. I agree with everyone!! The book is always the best. If I see the movie, it is almost always AFTER reading the book.

  3. Hi Sue, I’m the odd-ball, I guess. LOL. I usually will see the movie and then read the book. I think there are pros and cons to both. Thanks for entering me!

  4. Hey this is one of the few books of his that I don’t have. I have seen the movie. Sometimes I prefer to watch the movie first and sometimes I prefer to read the book first. There are always differences between the two, but if I read the book first I often notice more that is altered. I rarely read a book or watch a movie based on a book without comparing them at some point. I’m weird that way.

  5. Sue, books always win over movies.. When I have gone to see a movie after reading the book I have been disappointed more times then not.

  6. I love reading the book but it is easier and more time efficient to pop in the DVD and listen or watch while doing something else. Ryan Gosling and Rachel Mcadams make the movie a fun watch too!

  7. I enjoy reading the book more than watching the movie.I would rather sit and read a book instead of sitting watching a movie.
