Your Pet/ PUSSN BOOTS!
Lori, owner of the lovely “tuxedo” cat in our photo today, named him Pussn Boots after the children’s story. I’m sure Lori’s kitten is a swashbuckling fellow. I remember my mom reading that story to us as children and how much I loved hearing about that brave cat’s adventures. But I have to admit that my very favorite book or story about animals was BLACK BEAUTY!

What a handsome cat. But is there ever a cat who isn’t a beauty?
Well, my favourite animal book, if toy animals count, is “The Mouse and His Child” by Russell Hoban. If you want real animals, “King of the Wind” by Marguerite Henry.
I haven’t read either of those books, Janie. I’m adding them to my “to read” list!
