June 2013 – FREE BOOK!
Our second June 2013 Free Book is an incredible read by Bill Giovannetti. SECRETS TO A HAPPY LIFE – “Finding Satisfaction in Any Situation” is a self-help book and devotional that will make you laugh out loud. I loved it, read it like a novel, and am now going through the book again as my morning devotional.
From the back cover: “Contrary to popular belief, happy people aren’t born happy. And they face difficulties as we all do. But they have discovered something the rest of us can learn – how to tap into a deep happiness that flows no matter the circumstance.”
Our give-away copy is a new trade paperback. To qualify for the Wednesday, June 26 drawing, please answer this question:
When life gives you lemons are you more likely to throw them at somebody or get out the sugar jar and make lemonade? (Don’t worry. There’s no deep psychological meaning to this question!)
Blessings!
Sue
There are definitely days that I throw lemons, Amy!!
Oh my! Sounds like a book I may enjoy. Throwing the lemons sounds like a great idea. I mean really really a great idea. 🙂
It’s a great one, isn’t it, Linda!
I bought this book 2 days ago!! I am enjoying it…….. 🙂
“Contentment means seeking the best out of your life and never giving up on your dreams”, Bill. But nonetheless, in this circumstance, you probably won’t win. 🙂
Make lemon Italian Chicken of course! (Chicken Limone).
Did I win? Did I win?? 😀
I THINK about throwing them, but then I cut them up and squeeze a slice into a glass of ice water, remembering this: “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance” (James 1:2-3).
If life gives you lemons, get out the sugar jar and make lemonade.
I love all these creative answers!! And Joanne, I think farmers must need to have the patience of Job!
OOps. that’s slam the lid, not lie!
Never thought of throwing them. Not a bad idea if one throws them in the trash can, slams the lie down with a bang, and resolutely praises God for the lemonade to come.
Well, I suppose it depends on how many lemons I get, because, if given the chance, I would very likely possibly do both!! 😉
Throw them to someone there is nothing like a impromptu game of catch to make you feel like a kids again.
Farming will teach you that lesson in a hurry! Everything works out in the end! No sense in getting upset. About as soon as you do something unexpected happens that cancels out the problem! Have a great day!
