Puppy Love/ Otterhound

I have never met an Otterhound; however, they seem to be a very interesting dog. “Used in medieval England to hunt down otters that were depleting the local fish population, this large scent hound was bred to love water.”  Nancy Baer and Steve Duno who wrote the book, Choosing a Dog, suggest that if you want to own an Otterhound, be sure you have a “job” he can do.  This high energy, strong-willed dog needs to feel needed.

The Otterhound is one of the rarest breeds of dog in the world.  I hope you enjoy the puppy photos below!
