Small Joys–Making Lemonade

The above photo is our granddaughter Taylor. 2020 is the year of Taylor’s high school graduation. She couldn’t wait for her senior soccer season, senior prom, senior trip, graduation ceremony, and the list goes on. Covid-19 changed all that, but after a few weeks at home, feeling sad, Taylor decided it was time to make some lemonade from the lemons life had handed her. During her fall semester, she’d completed a certified nursing assistant program in preparation to go on to a university pre-physician’s assistant program. She applied for a CNA position at a local assisted living home. (Yep, a little scary for this Grandma, but I am very proud.) Here she is in her scrubs ready to begin.

The optimist’s point of view? Sometimes the best way to rediscover joy is through helping others. Kudos, Taylor!

And joy to all of you,

Sue
